Yippee for Technology!

We have a webcam and we can talk to and see the grandkids! We're like the Jetsons!!! Well, almost- we still need that cool flying car and Rosie the Robot...then we've got it made!

Extra Snooze Time!

I love when the clock falls back an hour. That extra hour of sleep is wonderful!

Voting

Phil and I met at our polling place to vote. Of course our prescient had the loooongest line. It was fun though. We just stood together in line and talked. I said that it would be nice to have a prize at the end of the line- like a piece of pie or something. Which led to a discussion about my favorites kinds of pies. I think I love every kind of pie there is. Anyway, all that pie talk has made me really hungry. I think we'll go get dinner and then maybe go to Whole Foods to get a yummy pie. By the way- my very favorite is CHOCOLATE CREAM PIE. Just in case you wanted to know.

The Pumpkin Patch

I'm really sad. I took my class to the pumpkin patch to pick pumpkins. We've been learning about plants and how they grow. I told my students we would be able to see the vines and leaves and pick our pumpkins right off the vine.
BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!!The pumpkins are shipped in from N.Carolina. There are NO VINES, NO LEAVES- just mounds of dirt with pumpkins all lined up neatly in rows. Some of the pumpkins even had produce stickers on them : (
