This week is School Secretaries Week. It coincides with Earth Day. My friend Somer posted a great idea on her blog for a craft uisng recycled materials. I decided that we could make a gift for the secretaries using the idea. The kids had fun and learned to make a beautiful flower from catalogs and the secretaries loved their gifts. The activity fit right into my budget- free! We are learning to do our part to help the environment and saving money at the same time. The kids loved it so much and were so proud of their flowers. They want to do it again for Mother's Day. Thank you Somer!

Lauren and I went to a boutique today and they had the cutest cards. The envelopes where made out of pictures from magazines. I thought it was such a good idea to recycle and reuse.
