Less Stress

I taught Relief Society today. It was the perfect lesson for me- especially this time of year. The topic was simplifying your life. The lesson was taken from a talk by L. Tom Perry in General Conference in October. He spoke about Henry David Thoreau's two year stay at Walden Pond. Thoreau endeavored to become closer to nature and God and reflected on the four basic needs we all have: food, shelter, clothing, and fuel.
I am thankful that I am blessed abundantly with all four. It helps to have a wonderful, supportive, loving family as well.
When I consider all the blessings I have, it puts little irritations in perspective. Being appreciative and focusing on the good things in my life takes away stress.
