Love Love Love My Job!

I'm so happy that I made the change in schools. I'm absolutely thrilled to go to work each day. I have found joy in teaching again. My students are delightful. It is so refreshing to have parents that support the education of their child. It is amazing to go to work and not worry about AYP or scores or failing schools. I am finding myself a little shellshocked. I have to remind myself that we can actually have fun at school and not worry!
You have to experience something really dreadful to appreciate normal.

I was an only child for many years. I always wished for a monkey and I got Angel. She was so cute with her gorgeous blue eyes, big dimples, and golden ringlets. She really made my awkward ugly years extra ugly as she was so adorable. But, I loved her anyway- even if she wasn't the monkey I'd hoped for with a tail and fur. I could still teach her tricks though. And guess what- she was way better than a monkey! She was fun to play school with and teach songs to and put on plays with. And she didn't throw poop at me or stink. Wait, maybe she did. Any way, our family was blessed with this talkative charmer and we all love her lots and lots. She's still way better than a monkey!

Lauren said Mason is ready for Halloween. I suggested she get a Halloween Advent calendar to count down the days. We both looked online and couldn't find one. I decided to make one. Phil was my helper. It was our Family Home Evening activity last night. Here it is! Now we just have to hurry and get it in the mail.

My best friend is 53 years old. He's the person that I get to spend an eternity with. I'm looking forward to it. I know it will be fun because he's always making me laugh about some dumb thing. It's his humor that I'm in love with, along with his cute little nose and behind.
He's a great husband, dad, grandad, friend, son, brother, uncle, and whatever else.

Oh yeah, what ever else entails: home remodeler, car fixer, yard manager, bill payer, golfer, cook, banjo picker, and engineer (what he does to pay the bills).
He loves his kids and grandkids, dog, family, pizza, soda (always gets a refill!), pork barbeque, pickles, golf to nap by, church, chips and salsa, and lunch with Keith.

If I had a million dollars, I would give him a new truck, a home in Utah, and golf membership to all his favorite places to play, and I'd send him to banjo camp. I'd also buy a soda machine with all his favorites. Uh-oh, I think I might need more than a million. But he's worth it -and so much more!
